MMC 6402 Perspectives
This course, required of all new doctoral students in the UF College of Journalism and Communications, addresses theory and the philosophy of science and is designed to help new doctoral students conceptualize social science research.

MMC 6421 Research Methods
This course offers an overview of quantitative and qualitative methods in mass communication research. The end product is the shell of a research paper that you can later complete with data for a conference or journal submission, or as a starting point for a thesis or dissertation. This course will not meet during the May 25-29, 2017, ICA conference in San Diego, so you won't miss anything if you attend.
